Shibuhachi Live part 1So on the 25th of December in Mt. Rainer was Shibuhachi Live. There were 2 sessions, the first one being 3rd gen specials and the 2nd one being the normal Shibuhachi. A friend of mine who is a C-ute fan decided to join us today as well for both Shibuhachi sessions and he has no real experience with Idoling!!! except for the 12th live concert that I gave him a day before. So we reached shibuya at around noon and waited for the show to start. I wasn't that hyped for the first session simply because it is a 3rd gen specials and although I like them, I am not really obsessed with them or anything.

So after getting into the place I went to my seat which is at the 2nd floor. I was kind of glad because the people on the 2nd floor isn't moving too much. So I could just stand and enjoy the show pretty well without further injuring my feet XD.

The 3rd gen being 3rd gen is really a lot of fun in the MC-ing parts. They sang solo songs in the beginning of the show

Kaede - Santa Claus is coming to town

Yurika - Koibito wa Santa Claus

Ai - As For One Day

Next up they sang:

Pucchi Moni - Pittari Shitai X'mas

Tanpopo - Oujisama to yuki no yoru

It was such a H!P song cover fiesta that I started to feel all nostalgic. I'm pretty sure that my friend appreciated it as well, since we both started of with our idol fandom with the 3rd gen Morning Musume and all these songs are pretty much around those era as well.

I couldn't really remember the other songs that they sang but honorable mention would be

Konayuki ga mau machinami de : With Yurippe singing the Maipuru solo parts. It wasn't as good as Maipuru's but it was a decent effort. After singing the song Yurippe said "I'm terribly nervous in attempting to sing this song. This just makes me respect the 1st gen even more thinking how they could sing this"

Voice : They sang this song twice, the 2nd time during the encore. It was pretty good and I really enjoyed it.

Baby Blue : 3rd Gen's debut song. You just can't go wrong with Baby Blue.

After the live has ended, we all went out for a quick meal before going into the 2nd session which has Umeko~ <3 And apparently my friend has fallen in love with Kaede already. So eventhough he couldn't go watch C-ute's live, at least he found a new love in Shibuhachi.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5846266485117450622.post-91026324847407068892014-01-05T02:59:00.002-08:002014-01-05T02:59:30.773-08:00Japan Report 2013: Entry 04: Tokyo Girls' Style 2nd Budoukan LiveSo after the Idoling!!! chekki, it is time to go to Budoukan! I was getting really excited for a few reason:

a) I'm now officially an astalight as well, I've been using all the fan-club privilege for a lot of things this year including for the ticket for this live.

b) Last year I had to have other people get me the Fan-club goods, this year I can flash my own card.

c) Meeting up again with other fans from Japan at the same spot we met the year 2012.

d) Bringing my Malaysian friends with me to see TGS at Budoukan.

So after arriving at Budoukan, I met with a_capybara from twitter. He's an awesome guy who sometimes translate news in English for other foreign fans to read. It was so good to finally meet him in person. After chatting for a while, I rushed for the goods store and got myself 2 Weekly Calendar (one for MYTGS and one for me~) 2 towels, wrist band and a t-shirt. Flashing your own fan-club card never felt so good. wahaha.

So here I am again

A lot of people were going around to find missing collectible cards in order to claim the 31st card which is available only in Budoukan. I only had 3 cards and they are all Meitin (like seriously? all are Meitin?) so I wasn't too bothered with the Chiisana Kiseki's booth. After a while, I met again with Cold_di and a_yurioshi_sasa after exactly a year. Chatted with them and they tried helping my friend Boey getting ticket for the MCZ concert but it was just plain impossible to get. Either way, since Cold_di insisted, I ate ice cream during winter for the first time and it was bloody cold. Had a real good laugh about it though. After a while we move into the hall.

Our seat was on the first floor but in row A. So we're pretty near to the stage itself so its not so bad. As the lights dimmed, and the whole hall glowed pink I was pretty hyped. Setlist is as below

Attack Hyper Beat POP(TGS10)
W.M.A.D(TGS12)

Onnaji Kimochi (=TGS02)
Kirari☆ (=TGS01)

I have quite a few reason to be really happy with this live.

a) The 1st Budoukan live had a pretty bad sound system. Something was definitely wrong with the microphone becaue Aachan sounded seriously awful and it affects the other members' vocal as well. But this year, there is no such problem. Everyone sounded as how they should've sounded.

b) A lot of old songs! I personally love the 1st and 2nd album, but the newer songs doesn't really click to me so much. I think I only listen to Unmei like... 4 times? Before I drop it out of my playlist altogether. Even Get The Star didn't really Get Into Me. However minus the newly debuted songs I would say 70% of the songs are my evergreen TGS favorite songs. To start the show of with AHBP was already a surprise and Don't Be Cruel was a really pleasant surprise. I'm still longing to listen to a live version of Sayonara, Arigatou again but alas you can't have all good stuff together in one go.

c) Ayano's Drum. She was just looking damn cool! Plus Get The Star has some pretty neat beats as well so she looked damn fine!

d) My seat is in the west side of the hall a.k.a the left-most side of the stage a.k.a Ayano zone. Yup, one lucky fanboy I am.

e) The live band this time is really refreshing, a few new arrangement made the songs a bit more energetic rock-ish and less funk-ish. I don't really understand music genre, so I might just use the wrong term, lol. Either way it was really great. And there is a part where they played instrumental Tsuioku and it was beautiful.

However there is something that is really worrying me and I really want to know why, a lot of Ayano's solo lines are taken over by other members. What happened? What did I miss? Is she sick or something? If anyone knows the answer please let me know.

2nd Budoukan live is definitely way better than the 1st live. I hope they could keep this quality up and before long, go for bigger venue.
With Babymetal concert done and over with, it was time for Tokyo Girls' Style next. With a pair of feet that is suffering from non-stop pain I moved on with the next event because this is exactly why I am here for anyways. First of all, in the morning there was Idoling!!! chekki session which I went with Tokosilent and Hatix. It was done in Minami Futou, it was like a jetty for ships or something and you could have an awesome view of the Rainbow Bridge and Odaiba from there.

So as we reached the place we went to line up to pre-order the albums to get the chekki tickets. And man, were they expensive... I could've bought 22 singles for the 3 sessions that I bought. But since I have yet to have a picture with Umeko, I just have to go for it. We were there quite early but by the time we lined up the chekki session for Maipuru on the evening session was already sold out. That was really fast, but I guess everyone is looking forward to take picture with her for the last time so everyone just went all out for that. Before every chekki session there is a simple MC session with everyone introducing themselves and there were quite a few funny ones.

Things to pay attention to in Gold Experience
Sakacchi : Everyone's original Jojo Pose. (No wonder I had a hard time identifying some of the poses)
Umeko : The new unit group
Hii-chan : How I am mixed up in the troublesome group
Reia : How she still have trouble pronouncing the album title

So on the first day I went for 2 sessions, 1st one with Umeko, Sekiya Mayu and Ishida Karen. It was my first time taking chekki with idoling and I was so anxious that I could see Umeko again. In the end I turned out to somewhat a jerk I guess because as I went in, I was only looking at Umeko from the beginning until the end and didn't even took a glance at Karen and Sekimayu. I felt so bad after that, especially since out of all the NEO members, I like Sekimayu the most =_=.

2nd Session was with Reia, Rurika and Kurumin. With that I have complete Ogi Production girls~ <3 Oh and before you take the picture you need to let the staff know who is your favorite member and the girl will be the one that passes you the photo (seriously lol worthy details) but Reia looked so happy when she was told to give the picture to me and I'm feeling happy about it as well.

The third session was on the next day, and I went for Umeko, Tonooka, Kurumin. Well, since they are wearing a different costume today, so I just had to go for Umeko again (lol). Especially since all my experience of meeting her is with her wearing that santa costume on the 2nd day. So the photo was somewhat even more meaningful than usual.

I was contemplating in taking a few more photos but the price was really blood-thirsty and I figured that my survivability should take priority more than the chekkis. So, listening to my rational sense, I backed off. lol. I should award myself for this because normally I'd throw away rational thinking.

So the day started of with meeting Tokosilent at Odaiba to pick up our tickets and goods. Grabbed all my Idoling!!! parker, T-shirts and 2 signed 2014 calendars and I was in cloud nine already~

Once all the process of grabbing goods are over, we headed to the Odaiba Teleport Station and rushed to Makuhari Messe. The trip took quiet a while, but when we reached the venue it was still pretty early.

There were quite a lot of people at the place because right next to the Makuhari Messe event hall was the Jump Festival going on. So there were a lot of anime fans that came to the place as well (Trivia: which was the place where they showed the trailer for the Jojo Bizzare Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusader). So there were a whole bunch of goods being sold, but all the T-shirts that I could fit in are all sold out so I skipped buying them and just got myself a BBM plastic vinyl bag. I actually have the arena/mosh pit seat but since my feet was killing me, I thought that it would be pretty much a suicide attempt to go into a mosh pit with a bad leg so I traded my ticket with a friend of mine and too the standing seat on the 1st floor instead. So after waiting for quite a while we finally got into the event hall and took our seat.

Being on the first floor, I get to see people swarming the mosh pit before the concert started and I felt a huge pang of relieve that I didn't force myself to go in there. So when everyone is in their place lights finally went out and the show took off!

There was a huge St.Mary (I think) statue at the stage and it started off with Yui and Moa carrying candles from the side of the stage accompanied by a few veiled figures. The walked towards the statue and a few pyro technique went off and Suu-metal appeared in the middle.

The show started of with a remixed Headbanger. I was a bit put off with the vocoder kind of mic that is used and I think there was a dubstep-ish part of the song as well. Since I really love Headbanger I was really disappointed with how the show started off at that particular time.

Next up was Doki doki Morning, Iine, Soul's refrain and Uki uki midnight. After a somewhat disappointing opening song, the show starts to pickup pace and intensity with the next 4 songs. I'm not really sure but it doesn't really feel like the first half of the show's song were played with live music or it could be just me. Still it was pretty okay.

Next we have a VTR going on, something about Yui and Moa found a chocolate house and how they are eating too much chocolate inside it. Suu was watching with envy but she was holding herself from eating the chocolates and in the end she couldn't take it anymore and beg for the chocolate. But the Fox god was angry and took away the chocolate from her.... Thus bringing us to a new song, Give me Chocolate!

Next was Kimi to Anime ga Mitai ~ answer for animation with you. Song was pretty decent, I like it but nothing really big.

Then we have Megitsune. Its the beginning of the Suu's vocal showcase. I love the song and being able to hear this one live was pretty awe inspiring. There isn't much to talk about it except for it was just plain great.

After Megitsune, Suu was doing a monologue saying "Why do we hurt each other?" and the whole crowd in the mosh pit started to go crazy. Me and my friends are not familiar with the metal scene, we never went to any metal concert before this. So when Ijime, Dame, Zettai started and I saw people crashing into each other and going pretty wild I was pretty worried about my friends. Most importantly, I'm really glad that I'm not in the arena. IDZ is an awesome song and listening to it live really worth coming for.

Then we have the encore. When the encore started, they changed the band members with the Kami-band and I'm pretty sure that from there onwards it was really live band playing and it was just freaking awesome.

It started off with Onedari Daisakusen! It was my first time listening to the song and I fell in love immediately. It has this Limp Bizkit feel to it and the irony of hearing these 2 cute girls singing those lyrics just cracked a smile on my face. Still, it was a really fun song and I couldn't agree more with the girls. It is all about the money money and money! Black Babymetal carried on with Catch Me If You Can next. Afterwards it was Headbanger again, but this time in its original form and not techno-ish and gawd.... it was beautiful!

Then my friend Tokosilent said that we wonders whether we will get Akatsuki or not and then to our surprise Suu sang Akatsuki just right after that and it was a special piano version. Just hearing her solo voice undisturbed with other instrument gave me goosebumps that day. Suu-metal is definitely one of the better younger singer in Japan today.

The last song was BABYMETAL DEATH and after that the show was over.

My leg was in a lot of pain from the long hours of standing and lining up from the previous days but I guess its the adrenaline that kept me standing throughout the show. I love the show, but I personally think it could be a lot better because right after the encore the show's energy just went off the chart with the live band. Is it really impossible to do the 1st half of the song with a live band? I'm not a musician so I'm not really sure. Still, I can imagine that it would be seriously amazing with the whole show is done with the live band from the very beginning. Regardless, it was awesome! I don't think that I would ever go to a normal metal band live, going to a milder version of it is pretty fun. A friend of mine did went out with a little bit of injury but still lives to tell the tale. So I guess, all in all, it is simply awesome.

Following website has pictures from the live and more
RecordingSo I arrived in Japan on the 18th and coincidentally there is an Idoling!!! recording on the 20th so I applied on the official website to gain entry as an audience. At first I thought that it would be pretty impossible to get and I idiotically just applied for the 1st recording session only. On the 19th of December an e-mail came when I was in Akihabara shopping for 2nd hand idol goods in TRIO saying that I can go into the recording on the next day and man was I excited! Since my friend Tokosilent and Hatix wasn't in Japan yet and I was a bit too excited, I just tried to follow the instruction given on the e-mail.

So on the 20th I went to FujiTV in Odaiba and the instruction said to go to gate number 8. I had no idea where it was but since I stopped at the Daiba station of Yurikamome, I saw gate #1 almost immediately. Thinking that I had the most brilliant idea ever, knowing that the Japanese are always systematic so I just tried to find the gate according to the number. So I went to the back of FujiTV following gate #2, #3 and so on. Only to realize that gate #8 is exactly at the FujiTV entrance. I felt really dumb. lol.

There was quite a number of people queuing up already so I asked the guy in front of me whether this is the line for the recording and he said yes. After a while the staff called us in and we lined up near the cargo entrance. Everyone had to present a proof of identification, if you are a foreigner then a passport would do just fine. I guess the fan-sama had better numbers, I was number 164 to go in. So we all lined up and then walked into the front door of FujiTV and into the studio area. Went up some really familiar stairs and then into another familiar scenery!

The props warehouse is right before the studio

As I saw the warehouse, I was basically trying to control from laughing too loud because suddenly the zombie audition episodes just pops into my head. I must have looked like an idiot at that time. But a happy idiot is not so bad lol. So we lined up again in front of the studio entrance which is basically this:

After a while we got into the all so familiar studio. With my number, I was seated on the 4th row. There was another empty row behind me, I guess since it was friday so a lot of people couldn't come to watch. A lot of idoling song was playing in the background and after a while Takase AD came and gave a short briefing and we practised clapping before the show starts. So he mentioned that it was the last recording session of the year and he hoped that we all can get a real good laugh out of the segment today. So after that Idoling and the MCs came in and the recording started. I am pretty short so I had a hard time seeing the girls on stage so most of the time I had to look at the nearby monitor to see clearly what is happening. Still, before the show started and in between recording the girls are really playing around and looked like they were having a lot of fun together. Especially the younger members. After the 2nd episode recording was over, there was this short break to prepare for the next episode. So one of the new AD (a girl) came to talk to the audience to buy time until everything was ready. After introducing herself, she asked who came from the furthest place. So without any hesitation I just raised my hand lol. When I said I was from Malaysia, everyone was like "oooooh~!!!" Then she said that she has been to Malaysia as well and then changed the question to "who came from the furthest place within Japan?" lol.

After everything was ready the 3rd episode recording started and I had a good time watching them all because of certain really adorable moment with the Hashimoto Sisters. Once the recording is over, we were dismissed according our number, and we have the chance to wave at the members because they all waited for all of us to leave first. Umeko was a bit too busy talking to Yurippe/Ruka so she didn't realized at me waving at her I guess. But man, looking at NEO live... They are just so small! Seriously cute as well.

Then, I went back to my hostel extremely satisfied and happy. I didn't really bank much home in getting the entry but I guess, a fool's luck is unexpected. So I retire for the day pretty early, because tomorrow is Babymetal's Live in Makuhari Messe.
Lives, Chekki and studio recordings! So last December was the annual Japan trip that I normally take. Despite missing yet another Idoling!!!'s numbering live because I bought the plane ticket way back in June, it has been nothing short of extraordinary this year. Everything was miraculously amazing and despite coming back home to Malaysia as a seriously poor sod but I'm pretty much the happiest I have ever been compared to myself in the whole of 2013 combined.

So I'll be writing separate accounts of events that I have gone through, hoping to be able to pass the excitement that I experienced last month with everyone else.

They said 3rd times a charm, but my 4th Japan trip was a miracle~ <3
It didn't take us fans from Malaysia very long to think about it and so me and my friends decided to buy the ticket to Thailand for it.

Took a real early flight to get to Thailand

So me and my friend, Freitao49 flew from Malaysia on Sunday morning to Bangkok and reached the Don Mueang airport at around 8.30 a.m. I was personally really worried about the whole trip though, because the entrance to the show requires a ticket that is only available through random selection through Facebook. Me and my friends took part but none of us was selected to win the tickets. Freitao49 however, had a friend in Thailand which won the tickets and had reserved him 1 ticket already. So I basically went over to Thailand with no ticket at all. I was pretty much banking on the hope that there's going to be a lucky draw or some ticket give outs that day. Personally I knew it's going to be hard, but if I didn't go at all the chance to be chosen is 0% so I might as well go and increase it to 1%.

So we reached the airport and took a taxi and reached Siam Paragon

That's the name of today's Venue

When we reached the place, I was pretty busy messaging my other friend who was already in Thailand and I didn't realized that STK-san just walked passed me at that very place in the picture. By the time I realized it he was already near the Siam Discovery building. What a wasted chance to say hi to STK-san but oh well.

The mall was opened at 10 a.m so we got in and got lost sort of because we had no idea where is the J Series Festival taking place so we just walked around until we reached the top most floor and saw the sign written "Pavalai" and we knew that we finally found the place.

Counter to redeem your tickets

So we walked in and the first I saw was a guy wearing a TGS Budoukan T-shirt (lol) so I tried to talk to them to ask for help since neither me nor Freitao49 could speak Thai. One of them could speak English so he explained to us that at 11.30 a.m there's going to be a registration session for the lucky draw to get the ticket. Me, excited as I could ever be waited anxiously until 11.30. However once the time came and I grabbed the registration form...

Glyphs!

I have no idea at all how to read those! And the kind gentlemen that helped us before was missing... So I took the courage to ask around and someone explained to us the meaning of each blanks and we registered ourselves ASAP. With that done, we waited for another friend to arrive, mr Nubu515. So we meet up and took some pictures to kill time because the lucky draw will be done at 1.30.

There were some Thai TGS fans that wanted to borrow Nubu515's TGS towel to pose in pictures (lol) and so he kindly lent them his towel for a while and I lent them my TGS Budoukan Parker. And all these are done with neither of us understand each other (lol) Man I should've studied Thai a little bit before coming. Then we met with a Thai fan who called himself Tendou Masaru on the internet that could not speak English but can speak Japanese. Which was a really huge relief for us. We hung out with Masaru for quite sometime and he helped us to communicate with other Thai fans (thank you very much!) and suddenly the lucky draw session started.

Lucky Draw Session

Nubu515 was the last person chosen in the lucky draw (around 00:17:00), which was really awesome! and sad at the same time. So the 3 person who got the tickets went out to buy stuff to give to TGS and I stayed to chill out for a while. I got acquainted to a Japanese family who was sitting behind me and it seems that they have been living in Thailand for quite sometime and I realized that the father is working in the TV company as a cameraman because his daughter been calling out to him a few times when we was around to film the scene. So I was chatting with the family and then all the ticket holder started to go in the hall already and I was getting ready to watch the live viewing and suddenly another lucky draw session started!

I was so excited! So I waited and waited. Then I realized that Masaru, Nubu515 and Freitao49 all are inside the hall already and I was setting things up so that I could run to the stage and grab the ticket as soon as possible if my name was called. So after one after another and luck starts to fade away, suddenly the guy stops for a moment when he drew one paper. Without even TRYING to call the name he just put the name away in his pocket and said something in Thai and everyone there was laughing. I was so confused so I asked the Japanese family what had just happened, they told me that the guy said something like "It was written in English so we'll skip it"

I'm sure, that if somebody took a picture of me at that moment, I'd look like a serial killer already.

so they were about 60++ tickets that was given away through lucky draw, and here's the breakdown

2 Japanese was chosen, both obviously Kat-Tun fans
1 Malaysian was chosen, which was Nubu515
the rest are all female Thai.

In short Nubu515 was the only guy to be chosen while the rest are girls, Kat-Tun fan girls at that too.

At that moment I saw a group of Japanese standing at the ticket redeem counter wearing the blue Budoukan announcement T-shirt. Since I'm already resigned to my fate, I chose to go there and hang out with them. They flew all over from Japan to Thailand and didn't manage to get any ticket as well. One of them went to Singapore for the live last year too! Dedicated fans for sure!

So the event started with a whole load of CM on Japanese drama and the girls were screaming like a banshee whenever their boy was on the screen and it was annoying as hell because the pitch is too high.

Look at them fangirls =_=

After a whole lot of time wasting with the CM and interviews and stuff it was finally TGS turn to perform. They started off with Futarikiri and I was already hyped because I just looooooooooooove the song!

HOWEVER!

The sound system for the live viewing was really bad. It was too loud and everyone's voice didn't really sound so well. Furthermore during the multiple solo parts, there were times when the microphone just went off at all!

How the hell could that have happened? Stuff like this never happened in Singapore

After Futarikiri, the members did their self introduction but it was the super compact version. Since outside the hall are just full of fangirls and it was just me and the Japanese astalight over there that was rooting for TGS, we just had to make noise to support TGS from the outside because there weren't any other people besides us that would do so. So we cheered the girls' name during their introduction.

Then Aachan started to teach the steps for Onnaji Kimochi. I looked at the other astalights and everyone was like "yup we just need to do this, now that it has come to this!"

So despite being really the minority out there, we danced along throughout the song.

HOWEVER! part 2

Suddenly out of nowhere the sound for the live viewing decrease so much that you could hardly hear for about 5-8 seconds. I was really disappointed with the sound system for the live viewing... The show was over after the 2 songs and I bid the other astalights good bye and waited for my friends to come out from the hall. I was mentally and emotionally drained already by then and I just wanted to rest because I'm going home on the next day.

My thoughts on the event :
TGS was awesome in the show, it was a pretty prestigious event I'd say. With the stage set and sponsors involved, I'm sure there'd be some pressure when they performed but the girls were awesome as always. The organizer however just sucks.

First of all, ticketing was unclear and random. If you're not going to cater for foreigners, then DON'T give hope or at the very least be clear about it. While many of us are willing fans, travelling and spending money to go to support, but it's really frustrating if you're already there but can't get it at all. I'd rather have the organizer just be clear about it say "This event is for Thai people only" or something like "we're not giving out tickets to foreigners" or something like that. Because out of all those who were chosen through facebook, I don't think any foreigners were chosen (correct me if I'm wrong) I sure as hell was frustrated at the fact that I couldn't go it and I'm sure the Japanese Astalight felt it even more since their travel time to Thailand is a lot longer than mine. Not to mention the money involved too!

Secondly, sound system was too lousy. You're organizing an event with people singing and you can't even ensure that people are getting the best out of the sound? Seriously a fail here. Apparently those who are inside didn't realize the problem with the sound as much, so it basically means those who didn't get the ticket aren't as important I guess. Not paying attention to your sound system outside when you're doing a live viewing? Disappointing.

All in all, I had a great time making new friends and meeting new people but in regards to the event, I have mixed feelings. I'm sure everything that happened was beyond Avex's hand.

Whatever it is, I'm just glad that TGS came over to Asia so early, it just gives more hope that they'll spread out their activities around Asia more and wherever TGS go in Asia, I'll try my best to go as well.

FujiTV, take a hint already! lolUnknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5846266485117450622.post-65532680933105355672013-03-14T16:00:00.001-07:002013-03-14T16:00:19.711-07:00Sakura Gakuin - Wonderful JourneyThroughout last January and February I was pretty much bombed by Sakura Gakuin. A friend of mine passed to me their Graduation DVD live and it was more pleasing that I thought it would be. While I did buy their 1st Album before this but due to lack of discussion on Sakura Gakuin and my own lack of visit to torrent sites/info sites that discusses about various idol groups, I had no idea about their PVs and whatsoever. Now I'm a bit more alert since this group just proves to be really interesting and I'm starting to get attached to the members bit by bit.

Now, Wonderful Journey is AWESOME! Not only you get to hear the girls speak in various languages, the lyric and PV is drop dead cute! The scene where Moa+Yui played with the globe killed me billions of time and Raura's prideful look when introduced as a president are a win! It's really back to basic, childish fun. Which is actually really refreshing now because almost everyone is going for that Matured/Stylish image. Just look at Hello Project, I've totally lost for words in regards to H!P now. Even MCZ is going a bit matured now... Sigh.. I don''t want any of them to grow up (lol) Heck even Idoling!!!'s song is slowly going matured by their own standard.

Anyways, I''ve been repeating this PV for like... 50 Hours non-stop? It's a good song with a really good PV. Hopefully Sakura Gakuin would keep going this way because I don't need all idols group to be all matured and sexy, otherwise I'll run to miniature bears.
Here are a few of my thoughts on the PV

1. I find it interesting that KWKM is in the PV and he clearly mentions the about the next step after Kouhaku. Though the answer is just "Love", but it just sets up the group for their next big step. If there's anything about MCZ is that their goals are clear to the fans and not just some Oricon rank goal. Now that Kouhaku is cleared, next up is that Olympic stadium!

2. Music is cool, I absolutely love the bridge and the chorus part. However, what's with the thing about adding electronics to idol songs lately? Everyone wants to be a perfume wannabe now...

3. I don't really see any clear chanting parts for this song TT_TT its going to be another song that you're just standing there and enjoying it. Not so hyper on this one. In this department, it isn't very MCZ for me... If there's anything that I love about MCZ is the chanting because their chant are so much fun.

4. Momoka clearly gained weight lol. I guess a few months of rest adds a few pounds to that little frame of hers. But she's still adorable~ <3

5. I love the solo parts in this song,
A lot of things has been happening and I'm kind of put on hold for quite some time but I'm going to scrape as much time as possible to write here again. Shibuhachi LiveSo, it has come to the 25th December 2012. My last day in Japan... I woke up pretty early because I have to do a lot of things today, being the last day and all. First thing was to pack everything up ASAP because I won't have time to do it later since I'm going to Shibuhachi live in the afternoon. Once done packing and stuff, I took a lot of the extra Malaysian cakes and postcards and gave them to the others who lived in the backpackers hostel (one of the China girl was pretty cute though.. Though she can't speak English at all =_= bummer) Once I got that done, I went ahead to check out from the hostel straight away and thus begins my last day event.

First thing was to go to Asakusa and buy souvenirs for families and friends. Grabbed a few stuff very quickly and I immediately rushed to Shibuya to meet up with the gang. I was pretty late throughout the 5 days all the time so this time around, at least I'd rather not be late at all. So I reached Shibuya at around 12 noon and waited at the famous Hachiko statue. After a while Hatix and Ayabie reached Shibuya and we all waited for Hellguard together. Once Hellguard reached Shibuya, we all went to a Karaoke box in Shibuya since we have around 1 hours plus before the show starts. So we went to this Karaoke box, pretty small I'd say even for a Japan karaoke box standard but it has everything so I guess that's fine.

Back in Malaysia, we used to have one Karaoke box called Yumekukan which does stock only Japanese songs but it was closed down like 3 years ago so its been about 3 years since I last hit a karaoke box and this time its even more awesome because all of us are Idolinger!!! I think about the first 30 minutes it was nothing but Idoling!!! songs and then we started to drift to other groups like MCZ, TGS but in the end we still go back to Idoling!!! Idoling!!! is just awesome in a karaoke, its easy to sing and just a lot of fun. Daiba no Koi Monogatari FTW yeah~

So we went to the Shibuhachi venue, got lost at first but reached there quite early nevertheless. At the entrace there was a few tables selling goods like Gekkan, clear folders and some wrist bands. I wanted to buy the wristband so I went ahead and asked for an Umeko wristband but the lady told me that I need to randomly draw it from the box. So I did put my hand inside the box, and with a heart full love I pulled out an Umeko wristband (lol)

Now that totally made my day because I can only go the noon show of Shibuhachi since my flight is at night and Umeko doesn't appear in the noon show. She'll be there in the evening show instead. So I might not be able to see her perform this year (Which I really want to!) but I managed to get her wristband in one try instead. So I guess, that's pretty fair. Though I still want to see Umeko... sigh... Oh well.

So we lined up before entering the hall, and everyone paid an extra 500 yen for the drinks (in which you must buy) grabbed the drinks and entered the hall. We had 4 tickets that day, 2 premium and 2 normal seats thanks to Hatix and Hellguard. Hatix took the premium seat for the noon show and Hellguard didn't really want to be at the front, so we had this one more premium ticket that either me or Ayabie could take. We discussed earlier who should take the premium seat (since its the front most row seat and plus you get to take picture with the members) but looking at the member list for the noon show, I decided to give up for the premium seat since Umeko is not there and Ayabie's favorite member Kaepyon is on for the noon show. So me and hellguard took our seat and the back but it was pretty decent though since the hall is quite small so even though you're at the back the view is quite clear. So we all got ourself readied and then Uematsu AD walked in and talked about his Xmas eve this year which involves only 7 Eleven (lol) after a while, then the members walked in. With no Umeko in this show, I was totally in #30 Kiyoku Reia mode.
So they started off with Megami no Pulse. It was really just a soothing song, nothing really much going on during this song. I was more interested in listening to the fan's chant because it was my first to be in the crowd for this song.

Now this is a song that I'm totally experienced in (lol) Had a lot of fun doing the furimane for this song and then everyone just realized that Ookawa Ai was actually dancing while holding a JJ magazine in which she is on the front cover. I don't really remember the details but I'm pretty sure that when it was her turn for solo line she said something like

"Popularity has finally arrived~! Being on the front cover of JJ magazine~!"

A little disappointed that there's no Maipuru otherwise this song would be just perfect.

Now everyone is talking about the songs that they have sung and suddenly Ai-chan Ruka and Hii-chan left the stage because they said that they forgot about something backstage. Yuuna reassures everyone that they are just acting out what was written in the script to everyone so don't worry so much lol.

Ai-chan, Hii-chan and Ruka perform Bra wo Sagashite and everyone was screaming O.P.P.A.I with them lol. The 3 members dressed up as delinquents and the song was sung pretty well I guess, minus Hii-chan who obviously didn't remember the lyrics. She was looking at the lyrics while performing that day, quite a funny sight for sure (obviously she wasn't so pleased about having to sing that song too lol)

So a guy with a guitar walked in, everyone sat down and the girls put down their microphone and sang friends. That was pretty new, a show without mic. Kaede wasn't really doing so well I'd say but Gotou was quite okay that day. The rest of the group did pleasingly well.

Now in this 5 days I've been to 3 lives of 3 different group, TGS, MCZ and Idoling!!! Now this show, I was laughing my ass off from the very beginning till the very end. The girl's are just brilliant with mic or even without mic. Hell! Just being on stage alone is already entertaining! This is definitely Idoling!!! quality. It was really a lot of fun that day.

Reia looked so worried that day. It was quite obvious that she made a few mistakes with the dance and it is just so obvious that she looked insecure on stage. I cheering my lungs out for her that day and it could be that I was the only person who actually calls out her name too lol. I did asked Hellguard, Ayabie and Hatix, all three agreed that they didn't hear anyone else who did the same. lol.

After the show, Mr Mura_ne was around the place too but since me and Hellguard was waiting for Ayabie and Hatix photo session, we didn't get to see him that day. It was all good though, all 4 of us went to grab something to eat at Sizerya and took a commemoration photo at shibuya station and I bid them all goodbyes. It is too bad that Silverbolt couldn't join us then, I'm sure that he's going through a lot right now and I wish him the very best but I sure hope that all 5 of us (or maybe more people from the international idoling!!! board) to be able to gather like this and storm the shows.

I left Shibuya and headed to Akihabara to go to TRIO because they told me a signed Umeko poster is there on the day before so I just had to buy that before I go home. When I was there I grabbed a whole bunch of other TGS and Idoling!!! goods as well. I headed back to get my bags and then, said goodbye to Japan.

It's tiring to time long episode so I do small subs lately, in between me subbing a full episode.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5846266485117450622.post-66318780428879156572013-01-05T16:46:00.000-08:002013-01-05T16:47:16.302-08:00Japan Trip 2012 Report #4 : MCZ in Saitama Super Arena Da Z!!!So now Day 3, Asakusa, Japan.

I woke up that day, with some serious sore at my feet.. For an instance I thought that I could never walk out of my hotel... but after some really good rest and massaging, I braved myself out.

So today's plan was pretty simple, go to Saitama and watch Momoiro Clover Z. Now I just have to say that me getting a ticket for this show is already pretty much a huge miracle by itself. MCZ is just so famous right now in Japan that tickets are getting sold out in less than a few hours nearly all the time. I got mine for about 16000yen.... 16 freaking thousand Yen... I can buy 16 handshake event ticket and see Umeko/Reia yesterday for that much of money. I thought that was pretty bad but apparently there are people who bought the ticket at 40000yen for the same show on auction. So yeah, I consider myself pretty lucky and just have to grab the chance to try and see and experience an MCZ live in Japan. They came over to Malaysia earlier in 2012 and the show was for free, so this time around its basically paying respect to them for coming over to Malaysia and I'm paying it this time because the show they did over in Malaysia was just worth the money.

So woke up that day, the first thing I did was to head to Akihabara to look for MomoDora for a friend of mine. He wanted those so I scrambled to Tower Records in Yodobashi-Camera. Grabbed Momodora and I was looking for Kaorin's single but I just couldn't find it at all. I was so sad but then again I didn't really have the time to stay bummed forever so I head to this Pakistani Curry House grabbed some good old Akihabara Halal Curry and dashed to Saitama Super Arena.

From Ueno to Saitama took around 24 minutes I think and I'm just glad that I could sit down throughout the whole trip to rest my legs because I know for sure that it's going to be a long day today. I was supposed to meet a Mononofu that I become acquainted to from Facebook today too, so I was pretty excited. I reached SSA at around 1400 hours and goodness! The temperature! The Wind! That was just BLOODY COLD!!! So this is like my 3rd time coming to Japan during winter, the coldest I had during the 1st trip was during Idoling!!! Nakano sun plaza's countdown live, around 6 degress I think. 2011's visit, the coldest was probably outside Wangan Studio during the handshake event around 6-7 degrees. But this one was just off the hook! I guess it was probably around 3-5 degrees on the day and about 2-4 at night. I was literally shaking like mad and just thinking that I arrived at 1400 and the gate opens at 1700... That felt like a really long wait.

So when I got out of the Saitama Shintoshin Station I saw a whole bunch of people waiting at the station exit holding signs "Please sell to me a ticket". I'm not talking about 1-2 people... There was like around 17 people standing out there hoping that someone might just sell to them the ticket. That was... wow. I've been to a few lives already but this was the first for me to see this. So I walked passed those people and head to the hall and saw this HUGE number of people lining up for the goods. Originally I wanted to buy the penlights for today but looking at the lines I cancelled it straight away. Not going to line up among those thousands of people especially when my leg is slowly killing me. So I just sit down waiting until the entrance time in the deadly cold wind. Apparently my friend couldn't find the place where I am at and there I was waiting until the door opens. Realizing that I'm alone today, I just dashed inside the hall as soon as possible because I need to get into a warmer place. So my seat is on the 4th floor, so we had to walk up and the long lines... and my feet are just disagreeing with each other. When I finally managed to enter the hall I saw a few KFC booth inside SSA. I mean like, wow. Lol I've never seen people sell KFC at a concert hall before. It really makes me wonder though, how on earth are you going to eat during an MCZ live, knowing that it is always so hyper.

So I had a basic idea where my seat is, but I just need to be sure and for a foreigner the best way to get super real help is to talk to the staff in English lol. It will ALWAYS grant you super detail explanation in a mix of English and Japanese.

So I got to my seat, wore my Momoka baseball shirt grabbed my Summer Dive Penlight and I'm set to go. I told myself that this is just going to be so different because when it comes to a live, MCZ always have a really passionate bunch of fans. The chanting is just off the charts and since my main Idol is Idoling!!! we're not even 2/5 of the energy these people put out during chanting lol. So when everyone managed to grab their seats, Kwkm-san began to MC the show and we know that it's about to start real soon. I was expecting Bananaman to be there but this time it was Unjashed (whooo!) . Not that it was really that important anyways, but I had a lot of fun Booing to Yama-chan. After all that talk and some slapping suddenly...

Overture begins.

The moment overtures begins, it felt like warping into another world all together and that is before any chanting begins. They did a similar pose and killer moves in front of the screen like how they did in 2011 too this year and when the whole crowded started chanting "Urya! oi!" It was just electrifying. I've always listen to stories from my other community members about AKB and underground idol's live and how energetic is everyone during chanting and now this time here I am, experiencing it. And when the MCZ Mix came, I was basically screaming the hell out from my lungs lol.

The playlist for the day was

Hashire
DNA Rhapshody
Moretsu
Saraba
Lost Child
Zenryoku Shoujo
Wee Tee Wee Tee
Kimiyuki
Bionic Cherry
Wani to Shampoo
Otome Sensou
Roudou Sanka
Kuroi Shuumatsu
Shiroi Kaze
Bokura no Century
Santa-san
Orange Note
Chai Maxx
Z Densetsu Owarinaki Kakumei
Kaitou Shoujo
Pinky Jones
Sora No Curtain
Kono Uta
Mirai e Susume

Notable stuff:
They did some mini sentai shows! LOL~! That was really fun~ and my favorite would be that suddenly MCZ was transformed into some old fat guys and we all had to chant the opening of Kaitou Shoujo in order to fill up their power again to revert into the original MCZ. Ahaha that was just brilliant! During Wani to Shampoo the girls were riding on UFO's and went up real high while throwing stuff to the audience. Was really lucky that my seat is on the west wing and Momoka was there~ lucky!

Originally I didn't really like the latest single except for Wee Tee but going to this live I learn to appreciate the new songs because there isn't much to chant lol! I mean like right after Hashire, DNA and Moretsu, Saraba was basically saying, relax out a bit. My throat started to hurt during Lost Child though but after a while I found a better way to chant without straining my throat so it was all good after that.

When they came to Malaysia, they didn't perform Roudou Sanka. It was basically the biggest service of the day for me~!

Towards the end it was pretty intense with Kaitou Shoujo, Pinky Jones and Chai Maxx.

When the concert ended I kind of ran out early because I've no idea about the train time and I don't want to take the risk because I still have to switch train to get to Asakusa and stuff. So I ran out pretty quick as much as my leg could spare me.

I'm just glad that I'm able to experience this, it is definitely a once in a lifetime thing for me I guess. I'm not sure whether I'll go to another MCZ live or not because the ticket price is just too high for a single visit. I'm just very happy that I managed to pay off my respect to them for coming to Malaysia by going to their live in Japan. Thank you for coming to Malaysia and thank you for the great show that day!

So I went back early to rest my legs because tomorrow is going to be my last day in Japan. I have to start buying souvenirs for family in Malaysia, CDs for my collection, TRIO visit and an Idoling!!! Shibuhachi live. I imagine it will also be a hectic day... So I went back and slept as soon as I could...Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5846266485117450622.post-72948289101278895862013-01-04T23:07:00.003-08:002013-01-04T23:08:43.488-08:00Idoling!!! Handshake event!!!So on the 22nd night I walked back to my hostel, feeling exhausted but extremely satisfied with the Budoukan live. I really wanted to take a nap straight away but I know that I can't because tomorrow, I have a bigger mission to be carried out. Today was fulfilling my promise I made at Singapore, that I'll be in Budoukan. Tomorrow, is meeting the idol whom I really like. This is someone who said that she'll be waiting for me in December, my head is all messed up just thinking about how excited I would be tomorrow.

So I did post at JPH!P that I'll be helping other fans to send their message to the girls because this year I plan to meet more than 3 girls just because it's a once in a year thing for me. While I understand why people in Japan would kind of stress on the idea of a DD (daredemo daisuki a.k.a you just like every idol out there) but being a foreigner idol fan, sometimes it all just doesn't matter as much. I mean like, I saved up my money the whole year for this one trip, of course you just have to make full use of it, no? I only have 5 days, didn't have the privilege of being sooooo picky about principles. Anyways, so I had trouble sleeping since my mind just keeps on racing and have no idea when to stop and when I did fall asleep I just remembered that I haven't pasted the picture of everyone's handwritten messages so I busied myself cutting all the pictures and pasting them. Since it is only my 3rd time waking up to winter this year, gosh I felt so damn lazy to wake up and by the time I'm ready to go out I was already really late. Hatix, Hellguard and another friend SA were already at the event hall.

So I rushed to the place, got in and there were so many people already because the 1st handshake event had already started. The rest of the gang had already bought their tickets (you need to pre-order 1 CD in order to get 1 ticket) so I went to the PO table took the pen and started to write all my details to buy 10 of them. So yeah after lining up, got my tickets (3x 1st event 3x 2nd event 3x 3rd event 1x 4th event)

So today's target is

Umeko
Serina
Reia
Kurumin
Asahi
Gotou
Ruka

Now, last year when I last saw Umeko I told her that I'm not coming to Japan in 2012. Original plan was to skip going to Japan this year, so that I can go to Japan in 2013 during the 1st gen reunion. Yeah I had that planned since 2011, but apparently when Hellguard when to one of the handshake event earlier this year, Umeko asked him when am I coming to Japan again and she said that she'll be waiting in December. I only met her 4 times in 2011 but she still remembered me even after a few months after that. Now I'm lining up to meet her again after almost exactly 1 year.

So I gave my ticket and when I walked into the booth and our eyes met, her facial expression just changed drastically and there was this really big smile on her face and she was literally screaming out loud "Long time no see!!!" (My friend SA who was lining up behind me said that it was so loud Sakacchi actually prod her head out from her booth to try to see what was going on) I was ready to drop dead at that time, coz I swear I was really happy as hell I think my heart forgot its rhythm. So I asked her how is she and stuff and gave to her my card. I told her that inside that card is also a message from an American fan to her. She clearly looked really surprised and raised both her hands up and said "What!? Are you actually trying to tell me that there are people in America that know about me?" and I said "Of course! Why not! Many people know about you!" Then the staff started telling me that my time is up and I was making my way out and she said to me that she'll treasure the card for sure. So I left the booth and managed to catch a glimpse of Ruka, Kurumin and Ramu on my way out.

Trying to keep up with last year's order, next up is Serina. So yeah again this year I pretended to be a Baka Gaijin and just talked in English with her.

"Hey Serina long time no see!"

"Oh hey~! Hi! Hoo ha woo sea!"

I was really laughing the hell of inside. Didn't have much to talk to her just said good luck to her and gave her the card and told her that a Brazilian fan message is inside the card too. She was very happy by and it and said thank you very much!

So that was 2 ticket used up, 1 more to go. Last one for the 1st event is Reia. I didn't have much expectation because you don't see that many people writing up about handshake event with Reia. Before I go and lined up for her, Hellguard told me to ask her about her weird pinky finger. Its supposed to be really short or something. So yeah I did keep that in mind while I lined up but it was all just for naught XD. It wasn't really "lining" up anyways since there was no one in the line when I went to her. When I gave my handshake ticket to the staff, I could see Reia kind of tried to take a peek to see the staff outside and she was all smiling to see that someone is coming to see her. So I walked into the booth and saw just how excited she was to see someone coming in and then I started to say things in English.

"Hey Reia~! Nice to meet you!"

"Hey~ Aaa~ uu~ Yeay~!"

It was basically similar to Serina but this one is just 100x more adorable.

So I talked to her in Japanese, releasing her from the confusion to come. Told her that I can really see that she's working really hard to fit in the TV show because she really tried to talk more on the show now. She was so happy to hear it and thanked me non-stop. When I was leaving the booth, she peered out a bit and waved me goodbye.

So that was the end of the 1st event. 3 cards down, 4 more to go.

There was another 30 minutes to go before the 2nd handshake event begins, so we decided to take some time to go and grab some lunch and to cool our self down. I was already too excited then, wasn't really talking much to the guys as we walked to the nearest 7 eleven because I just can't seem to get that "Long time no see!!!" out of my head. So I told the rest of the team that I'm getting another 5 ticket. I guess I was just high that time XD

So after we had our lunch, Hellguard realized that mura_ne from twitter is in the vicinity so I decided to tweet him to invite him to join us at the hall. Which we did meet in the end. Last year, I tried to meet Mura_ne at the Jukuhachi live but we didn't really get the chance as he didn't managed to get a ticket in but luckily this year managed to meet him at last. To those who aren't familiar with @mura_ne he's an idolinger from the 1st gen era most probably and always do twitcasting from various idol events. So we met him and thanked him for the various twitcasting he did and then begins the 2nd session.

So as an obligatory visit, the first one is to see Umeko. This time around I gave her a few souvenirs from Malaysia and just made a small chat for as much as I could and gets pushed away.

Next up was Ruka. So I went up to her said my hi and told her about SuzukiRyo. Said that she has a big fan over in Indonesia and he wanted me to give this message to her *gave her the card* she replied with a really big smile and said thank you very much and then time was up. She was a whole lot more cuter in person though and less chubby than I expected her to be. I guess being on camera do cheat your eyes somewhat.

For the 3rd 2nd session ticket I was supposed to go and meet Asahi, I have a few messages inside my card and a friend of mine from Malaysia gave me a card of his own to give to Asahi. So I entered the hall, with my ticket in my hand and saw the long line for Asahi. There was about 9-10 people lining up, since handshakes just ends in a blink of an eye, I thought it shouldn't take long. But as I started to take my step to line up I just realized that, if I line up for Asahi, Umeko can clearly see me lining up for the next booth! Asahi's booth that day was just next to Umeko's. That was NOT something that I would want to be caught doing at all XD

So I walked out of the hall... Meet SA and gave him my ticket and all my cards that is supposed to be given to Asahi. He kindly enough wade through the sea of fans and delivered the letter. According to his report Asahi was really surprised to hear that it was a letter from overseas fan and was very delighted by it.

Now that 2nd session is done and I got myself an additional 5 tickets, (2x 3rd session, 3x 4th session) we just hung out at the lobby while waiting for the 3rd session to start

Obligatory 1st visit to Umeko~ chatted about stuff. wahahah.

Next was meeting Kurumin! Well it was pretty exciting to go and line up for her, because she is really awesome on TV. When it was finally my turn and I said my hi and usual greetings and card message and stuff. She was kind of a bit blur of the situation at that time or maybe it was just fatigue. So it was more "normal" than I expected.

Now next one on the list was Gotou Kaoru. As expected from the handshake event monster the line for her was horrendous~ not only the line but also her booth is right next to Asahi. Which means lining up for her would make me visible to Umeko. So, nope, I gave my ticket to Hellguard and asked him to go and see Kaorun instead. XD. Further report on this encounter, need to refer to Mr. Hellguard on it.

With this, my list is already comple and I still have a bunch of tickets to go. So it was basically spamming your favorite idol time.

Next one was Reia again. So I didn't go and see her during the 2nd session, and when I popped in the booth she was so happy. Well it could be because there aren't that many people who lined up for her today, but meh what does it matter, I felt like a Santa Clause that day for being able to see her smile that broadly. So we chatted a bit, I asked her about the card just now whether she can read it. She was like "Yes I tried... but English is..." and being the baka gaijin I am, "You got to learn more English Reia~" and she was like "I'll do my best~!"

Final ticket for the session was to see Umeko again. Gave her a few more stuff, including a bag which I bought for her.

After that is done, we rested a bit while waiting for the fourth session and I just realized the problem that I'm going to face in the 4th session. I only have 4 tickets, which means that I cannot go and see Reia 2 times because that would make Reia as an equal to Umeko! Might sound really silly but yeah I was really troubled by that, realizing my worry Hellguard offered me a ticket. haha thanks man! So with that it's a 3 trip to Umeko and 2 trip to Reia~ Yippe~~

When the 4th session was about to start. I just realized something. I couldn't find the Malaysian postcard I bought and wrote for Reia. I really searched my bag for it and it was just not there... Then it came to me, I accidentally put the postcard inside the bag I bought for Umeko! I mean like... WHAT!!! HELL NO!!! What the hell did I just do!!! I was meaning to give Umeko a postcard on the 4th session, but now with that it's already a huge party bloopers already! Not only it would mean that I didn't give her a card yet but it also means that I'm a fan of Reia too~ TT_TT

Putting that aside, I just walk in to see Umeko to give her, her own postcard which I wanted to give. Maybe because I was panicking, or maybe my Japanese wasn't clear enough but she didn't really get the idea that there's a wrong postcard in her bag. Or maybe she just hasn't opened it yet. I don't know. However, something unexpected happened, when I gave her the postcard she was so happy about it and told me that she collects postcards. Now, this is a girl that voted yes for my character is strictly business I told myself, but nah what does it matter? haha

Next was the 2nd last meeting with Reia, so I went to her and asked her whether is she okay or not? Because she looked like she's having a flu or something. Which she did say yes, so I told her to take care of herself because its really cold out there. Then suddenly out of nowhere

"Can you speak Malaysian language?"

"Um, yeah I can"

"Oh wow!"

.

..

...

and I was pushed away. We were looking at each other after she asked the question both not knowing what to say next until the staff pushed me away. That totally took me off guard.

So next up was Umeko again~

I was basically complaining to her this time~ lol. I was bugging her about when are they going to release the goods for Ruri Umeko Nandemo Yarimasuka? And before I left, I took out all the postcards I brought and asked her to choose one.

Next is Reia for the last time. Now that last question really took me off guard so this time I was a bit more prepared. So I went into the booth and she said Hi again~

"Can you please say something in Malay?"

"Alright sure~ Apa khabar? (how are you)"

Then she was like "Woooowwwww!"

"Can you say it?"

"Apa kaba!" (gawd that was one of the most adorable "how are you" in malay I've ever heard)

"Cool! That's great! Khabar baik (I'm fine thank you~)

"Kaba Baifufushimmmshimu!" (Moe level... too HIGH!!)

So yeah I said my goodbyes to her and wished her luck on Shinahachi in 2 days to come. Told her that I'll be coming to watch her in that show and then I left.

Now is the last visit to Umeko. Well I didn't really do small chat so much, was basically busing saying my goodbyes and how much I wanted to see her perform on the shinahachi live but I couldn't because I'll be leaving Japan already. And when the staff started to push me out..

"Umeko~ remember! Don't you dare graduate yet!"

"Owh! Roger that!"

With that, I end my Idoling handshake event.

The TGS Budoukan live made me feel that the trip was already worth it, this handshake event makes this trip worth double the amount of effort I put into coming already. The first meeting with Umeko was already enough to sum up my happiness for the whole week, that "Long time no see!" will forever be imprinted in my mind forever.

So I went back early because tomorrow... Tomorrow is going to be another crazy day I told myself. Tomorrow is Momoiro Clover Z - Xmas Live in Saitama Super Arena.

While I still remember how was the show, I had be write this down don't I? lol. Like I have mentioned before I personally do not really like the sound system over at Budoukan. I don't know what is the professional term to describe the sound since I'm not an audiophile but what I would have to say is that the instruments are quite loud and the clarity of the sound isn't really there. The sound kind of buzzy or breaks.. I've no idea how to describe this. Anyways, it kind of kills the girls' vocals a little bit. Their vocals wasn't so clear and was kind of clouded by the instrumentals a bit. I find this quite a disappointment since the last time I heard them at Singapore they sounded a whole lot better. Plus the Base Ball Bear event, everyone just sounded brilliant, I had tears in my eyes.

01. Limited addiction -Unlimited addiction Mirrorball Royal Mix-

So yeah they started it of with Limited Addiction, Mirrorball Royal Mix. Love the choice, since the live band just comes alive all of a sudden and the music was pretty enchanting. Just too bad, as I've written above about the sound, it could've been better. Anyways, Here we see the girls coming out with the White version of Bad Flower kind of costume, they all looked really great in those. About the song itself, since this is my first time hearing this live, its pretty awesome.

02. Discord

Aah Discord, due to some really bad internet connection I haven't really been able to watch the performance of this. So it was my first time looking at the choreography. The song goes without a doubt a really cool song, not much of a vocal point here so it was a really awesome song that day despite the sound system. I have to say the dance is nice, a lot of attention to the members while performing and the ending is just new. The girls just fall flat on the floor by the end of the song.

03. LolitA?Strawberry in summer

And right from lying flat from the floor they just jumped up and started with LolitA?. I've had my shares of LolitA? from the Singapore live and having the live band supporting the girls while singing LolitA? just makes the whole song better. It was also the first time to watch them performing with a costume that they can flash their tummy~ XD. Mei's solo was great! Heard them before at Singapore but sure is getting better now

04. Bad Flower

Yeah! Like hell yeah! Live Bad Flower is AWESOME! I'm not sure whether they fixed the audio by this song or I'm getting used to the sound or I'm just high but Bad Flower sounded just great. They don't really have to go really high pitch or something so it sounded perfect.

05. Sparkle

This is my first time watching the performance of Sparkle. During one of the interview in the History of TGS clip that I watched they did mention about how Sparkle has a really aggresive dance. I had no idea it is THAT aggresive. The song itself was nice, but the dance was really the main show. I was really impressed.

06. Futarikiri

The first new song of the day. Its quite a slow song, not really a ballad I guess. I'm in love with it very much. First of all the choreography is nice and dynamic. TGS has the tendency to quite use the same move across their choreography a lot, but this one is fresh and plus the repetition of "I, I, I, I" and "You, You, You, You," just keeps ringing in my head even after the concert ends. Personally I'm very pleased with this song and can't wait for it to be released.

07. WMAD

WMAD~ nothing much to be said about this, its a good song to pick the pace up right after Futarikiri. It was awesome to see the fan's furimane though, I had no idea you need to jump so much during this song (lol).

08. Rock you!

I've seen the Rock You! perf at Hibiya YaOn, the opening was pretty cool and the Yubi Matsuri Rock You! Just looked superb. Budoukan's Rock You! didn't lose out to both of the previous version too. Of course there are no pop-ups this time to launch Hii-chan up but the opening was like the Yubi Matsuri version, where they delayed the opening to highlight each and every member. Being able to scream the "Ichi! Ni! San!" with all the other fans over in Budoukan is just awesome. This song really made my day.

09. Tsuki to Sayonara

Our 2nd new song for the day. Now it was quite surprising that they suddenly brought chairs to the center of the stage. The song itself was quite slow paced, but the dance was pretty sexy stuff. Neither the song nor the dance is really much to my liking but it was only my first listen to it and maybe I'm just too influenced by the dance (lol)

10. Limited Addiction

A 2nd Limited Addiction! Woot! You just can't have enough of this song. It's basically Limited Addiction, is, has, and always be ever good. Nothing much to describe.

11. Kodou no Himitsu

For some reason I couldn't really remember what happened during this song (lol) but it sounded good as usual. I don't really remember myself complaining about it (nor does it have anything extra special to make it memorable either)

12. Kirari

Kirari was awesome~! <3 I guess they did tune the sound system a bit because the solo lines during Kirari was quite memorable. The hall looked awesome with all the penlight doing Furimane to Kirari~ that was quite a sight to be burned inside your memory.

13. Kitto Wasurenai,,,

Kitto Wasurenai, I was too busy copying the dance move~ ahahaha. I really love the choreography of the chorus and the song itself is great too. Yeah like really, the only thing I remembered is me enjoying the choreography ahahaha.

14. Yakusoku

Last new song for the day. Yakusoku is an awesome ballad! Everyone had a good share of solo parts and they all sounded great. Probably my favorite song out of the 3 new songs performed today. Oh and they also appeared in a red dress for this song.

15. Himawari to Hoshikuzu

Well you just can't go wrong with this song. Awesome as always.

16. Overnight Sensation

So before this song started, Aachan asked everyone to follow the dance during the chorus and jump along. It's a lot of fun but it was quite confusing at first but as the song goes on it got really exciting. On the song itself, its one of the better song cover for TRF next to Idoling!!! and Dream5.

17. Liar

During liar, everything started off as normal. Everyone was riding on the waves of excitement and when the part where they usually take off their tutus, this time around they open up the zippers on their dress or something and it suddenly became all pinkish. That was pretty exciting.

18. Onnaji Kimochi

I guess this is TGS's Love Machine. Energy from all the fans was just off the CHARTS!!!!

19. Ganbatte Itsudatte Shinjiteru

Nothing much to describe because it is another staple good song. Just this time I just realized how loud we were at Singapore (lol) I mean like, everyone was so not used to TGS's chantings/live that we were like super loud during this whole song. hahaha, sorry for all the noise and trouble...

20. Yuuyake Hanabi

Awesome ballad! The band also just made it even better.

Encore:

21. Tsuioku

This is my first time listening to Tsuioku live, this is pretty memorable. Everyone's singing just shows their improvement this time around. They may not have super singer like Idoling!!!'s Endou Mai but this group sure can hold their own ground when it comes to singing ballads for sure. I mean like all the 3 new songs are almost a ballad I guess, and they all sounded good too. If this is really the result of the 2 months break that they took, I must say the result is pretty impressive. When I was there at their live in Nakano Sun Plaza, I love their ballads but it didn't really leave much impression to me vocally. This time around it just did, job well done girls!

22. Attack Hyper Beat Pop

Personally I was hoping for Sayonara, Arigatou because it's my favorite TGS song ever but to close the show with this song is pretty hyper too. Knowing that this is the last song, everyone went super hyper and was dancing to it like mad (lol) Did I mention how awesome it is to scream Gommennasai!!!! alongside with everyone else?

Overall, this show alone made my trip to Japan worth the money already. If there's anything about TGS is that I really love their music. Well of course I love the girls too, but the main attraction for me would be their songs. They have awesome ballads and the new direction that they take from Limited Addiction onwards are just so nice. I'll talk about MCZ and Idoling!!! later in my other reports, but for now I just have to say, comparing this to last year's Nakano Sun Plaza, this is just exhilarating. I enjoyed every moment of it.

Originally I canceled my plan to go to Japan this year due to financial problems, but this live is one of the two main reason why I did my best to still come to Japan despite only visiting for 5 days. I got to say, everything was worth it. I'm glad I came.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5846266485117450622.post-41195803061313912352012-12-26T09:42:00.002-08:002012-12-26T09:50:45.346-08:00Japan Trip 2012 Report #1 : TGS Live in BudoukanSo I arrived in Japan on the 21st December at 2345, after rushing to get my accommodation all in order it was really exciting to think that, after I woke up the next day, I'll be heading to Budoukan.

On the 22nd morning it was raining and it really freaked me out, since that is like my first ever rain + winter combo in my life (I'm from Malaysia, so I'm not used to Winter). So I grabbed an umbrella and head to Akiba to meet up with my friend, Hatix. The plan for the day was to meetup with another friend, Tokosilent at Budoukan at around 14:00 so I went to meet up with Hatix at Akiba around noon. We went to Shoshen and I bought a few magazines (BOMB and BLT u-17).Since we had some free time, we went to @home cafe first, being a customary tradition to do when we reach Japan. When we... Naah, I'll write a different report for @home visit XD

So at about 1300 we made our move to Kudanshita station, and reached Budoukan at about 1320. The concert starts at 18:00 but the goods are on sale starting from 12:00. So by far, we're pretty late already. It was still raining when we reached Budoukan and we saw many people walking to the opposite direction that we're going while carrying TGS Budoukan bag. I figured they might have bought all the goods already and just heading home until the concert starts. So me and Hatix just went to the goods area and saw the long line for goods. Honestly speaking, long line in Japan is nothing new to me already, but this is the first with everyone holding an umbrella. I have quite a lot to buy in my list and that includes what a few friends asked me to get for them.

So I lined up and saw the Weekly Calendar to be separated from the normal goods line, which kind of confuses me. So I just went to the Calendar booth to buy one. Unfortunately, the girl was trying to explain to me something that I really have no idea what she is trying to say. I got confused there, I misunderstood it as only the Astalight fanclub members could buy the Calendars so I went away from the booth to line up for the usual concert goods. Grabbed the TGS Parka, T-shirt, 2 Penlights, a wristband, Towel, and 2 previous live's T-shirts. I wanted to sign up for the Astalight B-course promotion and also pre-order the 3rd Album but since I didn't have internet yet, I didn't copy my TENSO address so I can't really do those since it will require an address. As I was about to go out from the goods area, suddenly a Japanese approached me and offered to help me buy the Calendar since he is an Astalight B member. After getting the calendar me and Hatix hang out with the guy that helped us just now. S-san (the guy who helped me get the calendar) and his friend O-san hang out with us after they are done buying their goods.

We went to the right side of the main entrance we heard TGS started rehearsing and doing sound check. We could hear them doing Discord and Yakusoku (but of course we had no idea about the song yet) At around 14:30 we met with a twitter friend Mr. Cold_di. He was kind enough to give us some flyers on the Idol Media Museum and we talked a lot about many things. It was quite a merry company, and once Tokosilent arrived I started to do twitcasting.

When the time has come, we all started to take our seat inside the hall and when the lights go out, the whole hall glowed pink. It was really beautiful, normally for an idol concert you only see a single colour penlight during a graduation but that's not the case for TGS obviously. I've never been to a graduation concert, so it was quite a new sight for me. Then when I saw the band member walking in I knew that it'll start soon and I was really getting hyped. After all, its been a year since I last saw TGS with a live band.

The live itself was really awesome. The stage was very simple, wasn't really dynamic or anything. There don't have pyrotechnics like MCZ but if there's anything that's awesome that day would be the usage of the camera I'd say. There's a huge screen behind the stage, and there are quite a few times where the screen splits to focus on all 5 members. The timing for everything in the show is really cool. Both the arrangement of songs, lighting or the camera. I'm not sure about the cost used for this live, but I can say that this is a very well thought out live. The transition from one song to another is very smooth (Discord -> LolitA was beautiful) and the new songs are great. I personally love the choreography for Futarikiri. The dance for Tsuki to Sayonara is a bit too sexy for TGS I'd say, well.... maybe for now and Yakusoko is a good song (well all 3 of them are). I really like how new songs are slowly gravitating towards Yuri and Mei to sing instead of just Hitomi and Ayano. They sure are balancing up and the girls are definitely getting a whole lot better vocally.

Sometime during the encore they had some announcement that they were going to make. Everyone was waiting anxiously for the news. A lot of us are expecting announcement of new single or tour or maybe another "leave" like they did before or even better announcement of a larger hall concert. So we were really listening to what's being said. The mic was passed to Satake-san (STKsan) from Mei and we were actually told that they are going to finally....

Announce the age of the members.

lol

All the intense wait was just for that. It seems that STKsan is tired of deleting the information on the Wikipedia because everytime he deletes them, someone would just come and put them back in. So he wanted to get rid of that chore and just make it official. So we had everyone's official age that day, Ayano 15, Miyu 16, Hitomi 14, Yuri 15, Mei 15. Everyone was like "Eeeh Mama is only 15!!!" and Yuri was just laughing non-stop because she always say that she's 20. Everyone had a good deal of laugh and then it was announce about the next tour and their own TV show starting next year (freaking finally!) While everyone has calmed down quite a bit, the show ended with Attack Hyper Beat Pop and that was my first time doing the "Gomennasai" call~ that was really fun!

If I were to sum this concert up in one word, it'll be "Cool". I mean, TGS is one of the more mature music among the current Idol right now and their latest release are just really cool. The whole concert is basically built to emphasis all that and I personally feel it really worked. Though I didn't really like the sound system at Budoukan at that day, because it somewhat kills their vocals a bit, but that didn't ruin the whole show. I must say, travelling to Japan for this concert alone is already worth it. I really like TGS for their music and this concert just delivers. Rock You, live band version is just off the chart.

<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5846266485117450622.post-39435386864965866412012-12-12T04:32:00.000-08:002012-12-12T04:44:00.533-08:00Kaorin is back~

Hayano Kaoru (早乃香織) a.k.a Kaorin is back in the singing industry! No more MC-ing and doing radio show only for her now, its back to business. Since today is her birthday, she's starting her blog once again (it was taken down earlier this year, to make her debut a secret I guess) and made her first post today.

To those who are not familiar with Kaorin
She was an ex-AKB48 member from team K and graduated from the group. During that time she's probably the smartest girl in the group academically, judging from the various surveys done in the AKB48 guidebook released then. Initially, she was the one that dragged me into AKB48 fandom and for a while I was stuck with the group thanks to her. She's quite witty, a little bit shy and awkward and a huge otaku to boot. Seems to be a huge fan of Evangelion as well. She graduated from the group for some unmentioned reason and was happily pursuing job as assistant MC on various events and radio show. Now she's back in the idol industry again. So starting from today I'll be translating her blog as well, now that it has really gotten into track again ^^ http://enhayanokaoru.blogspot.com/

Below is the preview PV of her 2nd single, Betelgeuse Beat
Well it's kind of exciting because she hardly appears for shots like this alone, afterall she's not really the prettiest girl in the group nor a girl whom one would easily fall to. I really like the fact that they made her cosplay a whole bunch of theme and it ranged from Goth Loli to just tradition kimono and looking and her facial expression in each picture is entertaining (lol). Well let's just say she's not much of a model... and imitating Serina for the GothLoli costume is just freaking brilliant hahaha
